Assembly Mechanic (Level II)

The Assembly Mechanic will perform assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-quality packaging machinery in a manufacturing facility. The Assembly Mechanic will be required to have a hands-on approach to performing job duties, complete work accurately, meet deadlines, and have effective communication skills.  Experience with packaging machinery is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Building packaging machine sub-assemblies
Checking parts for proper manufacturing

Installing mechanical components and sub-assemblies into machines according to diagrams   and written specifications   

Mounting auxiliary equipment to the machine

Correctly positioning parts and drilling, tapping, and reaming holes at designated points

Aligning and connecting parts together with fasteners using hand and power tools

Setup and operating machine for testing purposes

Strong customer service skills, a team-player attitude & regular and acceptable attendance are required. 

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:

2-3 years of mechanical experience preferably in the maintenance and assembly of packaging machines  

The ability to read schematics and blueprints is required

Maintenance experience in Auto/Diesel vehicles and/or fabrication is a plus

The ability to stand much of the working day

The ability to lift at least 40 pounds

The ability to multi-task

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a starting wage of $21.50 – $22.50 per hour with a $2,500.00 signing bonus. Company paid health, dental, life and disability insurance for the employee, 401(k) & paid time off benefits.
