LOCAL FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Formost Fuji Corporation is a manufacturer of custom packaging machinery. Our physical plant is located in Everett, WA and we are looking for a local, factory-based Field Service Technician.
We have been in business since 1964. Our Field Service Technicians will need to have a working knowledge of all generations of machines we have produced. Our equipment can be found in many bakeries, convenience food manufacturers, USDA meat processing plants, confectionary & snack food companies, and pharmaceutical/medical companies throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and South America.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This local tech position will start as a full-time factory-based position for training and refinement of skills that pertain to our electromechanical systems and equipment. Training duration will depend on current skill level and may include mechanical sub-assembly, new machine assembly, troubleshooting, replacement, and setup of parts/assemblies and machine options, electrical wiring and assembly, programming, film testing, and more.
As the position evolves, tasks will include travel to and visiting customer facilities to install and set up new machinery, train operators and maintenance personnel, troubleshoot and repair existing equipment and conveyors, install replacement parts and conversion kits, survey existing machinery for needed parts and repairs, test and calibrate machines to meet the customer's specific needs.
Extensive travel throughout the United States & Canada with occasional overseas travel – required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Operating and repairing Horizontal Form Fill Seal Wrappers
Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills including PLC’s, Inverters & Servo Drives
Reading parts blueprints and electrical schematics
Use of computer, Windows, and Microsoft Office
Following OSHA safety rules and regulations
Strong Customer Service Skills
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
This position is Salary Non-Exempt. Overtime is paid for hours greater than 8 per day Monday – Friday including travel time to and from the customer site, Overtime is paid for all weekend hours worked and traveling to and from the customer site. STARTING SALARY RANGE:
$70,000 - $90,000 Depending on Experience
